Top Seven Sex Bummers

Almost every couple has suffered from the occasional not-so-sexy moves which end up turning off the respective partners in bed. But what about the accidental bummers which often happen in the midst of your steamiest sex sessions? From suddenly being compelled to answering nature's call or moaning your past lover's name, these sex shockers are irksome distractions that do not allow you to enjoy the act of passion whole-heartedly.

These circumstantial occurrences during sex may not be very common, but these can happen to you as well. So the next time you find yourself in these embarassing situations, just take a count of the following points...

Sex with my ex
Imagine screaming your ex's name, or your secret lover's pet name, just when your partner is about to climax. Damn! It can't get worse than this. "I had an arranged marriage and it was a blunder that I did on my honeymoon. I yelled my ex's name in pleasure and my hubby was very frustrated hearing another man's name. Believe me, we didn't have sex for months, until I convinced him that there's nothing between me and my ex now," shares Deepti Shah (31), who got married last year.

Such an occurence is likely to make your partner feel estranged, besides injecting a feeling of suspicion in your love life.

Hot tip: Though fantasies are an essential part of a gratifying sex life, expressing fantasies in such unexpected ways can often put end to your relationship. "A lot of women fantasise about their idol or a past lover while having sex as it turns them on. But it's important to remember that sex is an emotional experience too, so don't appear to be emotionally weak and let your past lover/fantasy hover in your mind space while becoming intimate with your present beau. This causes a discord in your relationship. A combination of prayanam, gym and a job (PGJ) is the best way to keep away from a fertile imagination," suggests Dr. Aruna Broota, clinical psychologist.

Nature's call
This blooper is the mother of all sex bummers faced by couples. Often confused with a squirting orgasm, it is related to the pressure applied on the bladder due to sexual stimulation. A problem commonly faced by women, this often leaves the male partner feeling half pleasured. Recalls housewife Pratibha Trivedi, "I often feel like urinating half way through the act and this creates a problem for my man, besides being unhealthy."

Hot tip: Never force yourself to reach a climax if you're feeling like relieving yourself. "The nerves that are stimulated during an erection are quite close to those of the urinal bladder and sometimes an overlapping can result in urinating during sex. So make sure you have attended nature's call before you gear up for the act of sex. In case there are any other organic problems, certain medications can help deal with them," elucidates Dr. Prakash Kothari, a leading sexologist.

Oops! I farted
It may sound like a marginal interruption, but if it comes in the way of pleasure, it's sure to marr the excitement. "It was a horrifying nightmare. I knew my wife had medical implications due to which she suffered gastritis, but it was a highly disturbing when we were sexually engaged and I stopped enjoying sex with her anymore," recalls Ravi Mehra.

Hot tip: Make sure your digestive system is in place before you indulge in a make out session. "Avoid potatoes, pulses, peas, and bakery items that enhance gas formation (gastritis). Also, we recommend you to consume a digestive pill or opt for a brisk walk after the meal to make the food settle down completely," recommends Dr. Kothari.

Napping tapping
It's a common occurrence to see your partner falling asleep time and again while you're in the mood to rock the boat. But such redundant naps in between sexual interactions often reroute the mood, ruining the sexual chemistry. Kanika Motwani, married for 3 years, complains, "Both of us come home tired and when it's time for sex, my husband loves his sleep more. Forget any foreplay or after sex moments, he sometimes falls off to sleep in between the actual act. It really annoys me."

Hot tip: It's always a wise idea to grab a sound sleep after sex and not let it come in way of seeking pleasure. Go for a shower before you make-out to retain freshness of body and mind.

You're more likely to remember your first kiss than losing your virginity

Whether it took place behind the bike sheds or at the school disco, your first romantic kiss is likely to remain etched in your memory for ever.

Most of us can recall 90 per cent of the details of the experience - a memory more vivid than losing their virginity, scientists say.

But the art is so complex that scientist Sheril Kirshenbaum has written a book about it.

As part of the research she conducted an experiment measuring the magnetic current in the brain of men and women in response to different images of people kissing.
The kiss is more appreciated by women, it seems, although they usually get less satisfaction than they hoped from the action.

In The Science of Kissing: What Our Lips Are Telling Us, Kirshenbaum writes that men see kissing ‘as a means to an end’ and possibly with a ‘view to swapping other bodily fluids later’.
Women try to ‘extricate the significance of a relationship based on a single kiss and often that leads to miscommunication’.

Men are more aggressive kissers, as they are trying to pass on a ‘testosterone bomb’ to a lover.
However, testosterone passed on during sessions of smaller but frequent kisses stays in the body longer, and can push a woman to falling in love more quickly.
Young women usually get less satisfaction than they hoped from a kiss, although many men do not appear to notice, the book says.

The author, a researcher at the University of Texas, measured the magnetic current in brains of men and women in response to images of people kissing.

Her book also traces the history of the kiss from India 3,500 years ago.

Early in the 20th century English tourists spoke about shockingly open-mouthed kisses which were common in France and passionate scenes in Hollywood movies later changed the image of kissing in corners of the globe where it was formerly regarded as an affectionate gesture.
Kissing research featured in the book includes a 1950s U.S. study which discovered that 278 colonies of bacteria could be passed between kissers, although more than 95 per cent were harmless.

Device that turns PC into porn tv on sale in China

Shanghai, Jan 17 : Pornography from around the world for free is the promise of vendors selling a new device at one of the popular markets of electronic products in China's business hub of Shanghai.

Customers who buy the device are told that the television USB flash drive can receive pornographic channels, reports the Shangahi Daily.

Once plugged into a computer, a television USB flash drive automatically scans the internet for more than 5,000 channels across the world, including news, sport and movies.

On Qiujiang Road, one of Shanghai's most popular locations for electrical products, these drives are being sold by dozens of vendors with their prices ranging from 30 (USD 4.50) to 180 yuan, depending on the quality and number of channels received.

But some vendors also offer "special" TV USB drives that specifically scan adult channels with pornographic or extreme violence content. Such products may cost 200 yuan.

Some vendors have even started bundling these with illegally modified WLAN cards that crack other Wi-Fi users' accounts to provide free internet access.

On the country's biggest online trading platform, Taobao.com, one Shenzhen-based vendor started to sell the pornographic TV USB drives several days ago.

Using pictures of scantily clad women to attract customers, the retailer hinted that men would especially like the channels that were on offer.

The Shanghai Daily tested a 100-yuan product said to be able to scan all the news channels across the world.

The software worked, as it started to scan and buffer seconds after plugged in to a computer, the videos could only be played in a small video player and picture quality was poor.

While some vendors claim that the USB drives has internal antennae to boost a signal, despite dismantling the device, Shanghai Daily could find no trace of this.

Instead the USB drives are standard flash disks with special software that may also be downloaded and used on computers with internet access.

Shanghai lawyer Chen Jianbo warned that selling these products violated the county's law in spreading pornography.

Another lawyer, Li Li, said there were still no laws in regulating the online broadcasting of foreign television programs, which allowed such products to surface.

Consumer Electronics Show: Pandora's Tim Westergren on car connectivity, smartphones and a potential IPO

As major automakers took the stage one after the other at CES, it wasn’t just their sweeping vehicle connectivity plans that made them sound like a broken record.  It was the constant reference to Pandora.
The Internet radio company, led by founder Tim Westergren, will offer its services through smartphones integrated into infotainment designs from Ford, Toyota, BMW and several other car companies.
Westergren still remembers talks several years ago with the automakers gaining “no momentum,” when the focus was all on spiffy navigation technology.
But then smartphones such as the iPhone emerged and the market for Pandora “just went berserk” and the audience doubled, he said at the electronics show in Las Vegas. The company’s music platform is now accessible from more than 200 devices.
Once users started plugging various gadgets into their vehicle auxiliary jacks, automakers finally perked up and took notice.
“The phones changed the whole equation,” Westergren said, sitting in a Ford Mustang, which will access Pandora through the AppLink feature. “Now, if you want to be a radio service, that’s half the market. It feels like we’ve reached critical mass.”
Catering to customized radio listeners as they drive is now a “huge priority” for Pandora, where “a quarter of the staff is chasing cars right now,” he said.
“We’re kind of in execution  mode right now,” Westergren said. “We want to be in every single car on every single phone.”
Well, maybe every car but, Westergren himself listens to his favorite Ben Folds channel on his iPhone and iPad while taking public transportation.
Looking forward, he said he might consider taking the company public.
“We’ve been through a long road to get here,” he said. “This company should have been dead long ago. But now I can be more ambitious about what we can accomplish. It’s surreal.”

Public sex on Philippine island causes stir

MANILA - PHILIPPINE authorities may ban sex on the world-famous beaches of Boracay island after a television crew filmed two naked couples making out in public on New Year's Day, the local mayor said on Thursday.

The clip showed one pair apparently having sex on the beach and the other locked in a passionate kiss in the water, with the woman's bare breasts clearly shown above the waterline.

The ABS-CBN television network said it filmed the apparently Western couples at 2am on New Year's Day following a large beachside party on Boracay to usher in 2011.

'We're thinking of a 'no sex on the beach' (rule) so the other tourists would not be scandalised,' John Yap, mayor of Malay town that has jurisdiction over Boracay, told ABS-CBN in an interview posted on its website this week. Mr Yap said authorities were aware of the sensitivities of the devoutly Roman Catholic nation.

'It's an isolated case and quite difficult to control but, if police had seen them, they would have been arrested for public scandal,' he said. In a brief phone call with AFP on Thursday, Mr Yap confirmed the quotes.

Filipina film star and talk show television host Ruffa Gutierrez, who said she was vacationing with her two young children at Boracay over the New Year, expressed disgust at the holiday makers' over-exuberance. 'I don't want my children to be doing those things (public sex acts) one day,' she told ABS-CBN. 'For me, it's just not right.' -- AFP
